Girl crush: Alice Glass of Crystal Castles.

And I'm not the only one.

Even when she's terrifying, she looks pretty adorable.

Her little cardigan + sneakers + little black bob. I could look at pictures all day. She reminds me of a modern-day, less carnivalian, emo-tinged Siouxsie Sioux, no? (That's a lot of qualifiers).

Anyway, enough gushing. Crystal Castles is the act I'm personally looking forward to most at Fun Fun Fun Fest today. Here's a slightly old video posted on a UK TV show last year, and still my favorite CC song.

Will I see any of you out there dancing to the synthesized beat?

My friend used to tour with them. If you can't say anything nice. Don't say anything at all. If and when we meet in the future ask me to tell you about the shower scene and Dallas.

I am down with a Q and A. Email me. austincarnivore@gmail.com

The "shower scene" - yow!

Cool. Let's get this Q&A party started. I'll send some later this week? For example: "How are you so damn funny?" And, "please describe the grocery shopping list of your dream woman."

Man I met both at fun fun fun fest. I've liked this band for a whileeeee. I thought they were jerks because they never want photos taken or rarely be interviewed. They actually kicked photographers out of the pit at F^3 Fest. I also thought Alice was such a junky and that she was lost all the time haha. Anyways met them and totally change my perspective they are really awesome and nice. Alice is actually kind of nerdy I think.

Really!! Interesting perspective, Hanlly. I was at the coffee shop this morning talking to the barista about Alice Glass, and said something like: "Can you believe she's 20?" to which she replied with: "Um, I don't believe that." Now it's making me question everything! The ran away from home part...recording 'Alice Practice' at 15....

Anyway, all that aside. I'm glad you met them Hannly, and discovered both are kind of lovely.

Great story as for me. I'd like to read a bit more about that theme. Thanks for giving that material.
