"Brides" in the park.

This weekend, my friend Amy is hosting her photographer pal here in Austin. She is building up her portfolio for bridal portraits, and asked if we could help out. An excuse to put my wedding dress back on? ABSOLUTELY.

While Laura, the photographer, shot us with her professional camera at Mayfield Park (near Laguna Gloria), I took a few pics of my own. Amy caught a couple of me (on bottom) too.

The best part? At dinner last night, I told Ross there was still time to "re-propose," since I had been wearing my wedding dress that day.  So at Sushi Zushi, he took off my ring, held it in his hand, and asked if I would stay in his house and continue to rock his world keep on being his wife. (We've both watched a little too much Rock of Love in our day.)

I said yes.

@Mara - Thank you! I like this camera effect, too.

@Optimista - Would you believe this is not the first time I have tried to talk Ross into "re-proposing?" :) Typical only child behavior.

@Kristen - Sad to admit that we watched Seasons 1, 2, and - gulp - 3, "The Bus." That Rock of Love didn't even see fit to stow Bret Michaels' lady friends in a proper HOUSE, but a bus. It all became a little too sad every time he had to say, "Sheila, will continue to stay in this bus and rock my world?"

@SarahJD - I thought of you during this post, and your lovely wedding shots. Such a beautiful bride you were. Thank you for the comments on the dress; it's actually a bridesmaid dress that I wore as my gown! But, I wanted something simple.

@Beth H - Thanks woman! I love Mayfield Park, too. It sounds terribly British. Perfect for Anglophiles like us!
