A nice little punk band: The Thermals

Tonight at The Mohawk, y'all:

My favorite factoid about The Thermals:

"Their debut LP, More Parts Per Million, was conceived and recorded in the kitchenette of singer Hutch Harris's house, known as "The Moss Motel", in southeast Portland, Oregon. The album was recorded on a 4-track cassette machine, with total tracking costs around $10."

I like the fact that Hutch named either his house or his kitchenette, I can't tell which, "The Moss Motel." Makes me want to walk around my house and name all of the rooms: we'll call the bathroom "Chateau de Never Any Toilet Paper," the living room "Inn of Errant Beer Cans," the backyard "Two Strangers Once Had Sex Out Here Suite..."

ANYWAY. The Thermals will be joined by our friend Kullen and his band 'Til We're Blue or Destroy tonight, as well as The Shaky Hands. Overall a very solid lineup. Get tickets here!

Yeah I am really stoked for this show. As a Portland native I have to go show some home town support for The Thermals and Shaky Hands. I am also a big fan of Till We're Blue Or Destroy so this will be a great show for me. I am super conflicted with there being so many shows I want to be at tonight, but that's how it goes in this fine city. I wish I had like five of me.

Is it "The Thermals and Shaky Hands", in other words Parkinson's disease with hot flashes, or "The Thermals" and "Shaky Hands"

@Anonymous - Parkinson's with hot flashes

Aaron, I think you might be conversing with my Dad. :) Thanks for clarifying my syntax and the band names!

Did the "panky" give your pap's away? I really enjoy your blog, it's a lot of fun.

Haha, indeed - "otay panky" has DADDY written all over it. :) Thanks so much, Aaron! Glad you enjoy, I'm going to go check out yours now.

That's what I heard, James! I was sick that night - bleh - but R. told me there were some seriously hardcore fans out.
