SXSW Can Wait for One Man: Daddy.

Happy Birthday, Daddy!

Tom Moseley turned 62 yesterday. Isn't he handsome?

My beautiful mom, above, has a delightfully wry sense of humor. Here is the card she gave him for his birthday:

Heh.

It's funny because my parents think it's hi-larious when they get offered any kind of senior citizen-related discount. In fact, last night we were technically celebrating the 40th anniversary of Daddy's 22nd birthday. If you know my parents, it makes a lot more sense than "his 62nd birthday."

I'd also like to add that, WAY before it was hipster trendy, my dad had his mustache. Through the '70s of course, on into the '80s and '90s when the jolly mustache was more scarce, and stuck with it as it returned to facial hair favor in the 2000s. Good job, Tom!

My 7 year old sweet little girl could stay 7 if I had my way (I know, can't happen), however I'll be a happy dad with a picture as solid as that in as many years. Nice work by all! Please enter me to win the Perez party tix if you will. cnullrun@gmail.com Thank ya ma'am. :)

@Anonymous - Thank you!

@Chris - I 100% understand that sentiment, and I don't even have kids. When I used to teach, I felt the exact same way -- no! Don't become a sassy teenager! Stay tiny and sweet!! But..then they get to be really cool people, and you can REALLY talk to them, and it's awesome again.

@Breanna - :)

@Nina - You mean, Happy Anniversary!
