A few more pictures of Hawaii. Then I promise I'll stop.

So much green in Hawaii, non?

The blue sea I was expecting, the white beaches too. But for some reason, the plump, lush greens took me by surprise. I quite liked it.

My adorable co-hostesses, Shamar and Beka. Me in the middle.

These next two photos aren't the most amazing, as I took them from the car. But dear God. Driving through Hawaii on a simple freeway is like driving through the set of Jurassic Park.

See what I mean?

Here's a more helpful visual:

shockingly (not really) jurassic park was filmed on oahu.
... the last time I went, we hiked with dwayne "the rock" johnson's stunt double as guide.

@Le Tigre - :) Thanks friend. I know, I really can't stop with these Hawaii pictures.

@huebscher - I thought I heard that somewhere (that Jurassic Park was filmed in Oahu. Not that you went hiking with The Rock's stunt double. Which is badass).

Would be happy to paint your kitchen purple, Tolly. :-)

Your beautiful photos are reminding me...I must go to Hawaii! Appears to be the perfect, idyllic escape...except the dinosaurs, which do look a tad bit dangerous.

@Le Tigre - You know what's funny? You and I have the same paint tastes. I painted the bathroom - the bathroom! - of my very first apartment bright purple. I think it was all those years of living in bland college dorm rooms.

@Camille - LOL! Indeed. We really had to watch out for those.

I can't wait to see pictures from your European tour!! Going to go check your blog right now in case you've posted some. :)

I think painting the bathroom purple was a better idea then painting the kitchen purple, but then again I was five... ;-)
