asdfasdfasdf
I discovered this little gem of a video the day after Austin Fashion Week. I think you can see why I freaked out over it.
This was shot at G'raj Mahal here in Austin, across the street from Lustre Pearl, embedded in that dark strip off of east Cesar Chavez that, at some point, became the stretch of road in Austin where jocks and hipsters could co-exist peacefully. Well done, developers!
Agent Red, i.e. Sarah Johnston, is the lithe aerial dancer in this video. I hoped upon hope that she taught classes, and lo and behold, she does.
saturday evenings.
7:00 - 8:30pm.
art department.
503 neches.
I want to learn how to dance in the sky like she does.
Many thanks to Stephen Scott for shooting and providing the video.

She performed at Hair Affair but you missed it because you ran off after the show. :-P
@Le Tigre - Ah yes, I did. That's because my bedtime is so much earlier than that of you crazy young things!! :)
there was also aerial dancers in the performance of metamorphoses at zack scott - it was awesome! i think it's still playing...
ps: there's also full on male nudity, if that piques your interest more than the dancers...
@Katherine - :) You are wonderful.
Blue Lapis Light Group also teaches classes. They are mighty pricey, but I've thought about doing it for years. I think you have to be in TREMENDOUS shape to do half the stuff the pros do.
She did her thing at Ace's Lounge during PANTyRAiD. She's a talent, that's for sure.
Tolly--I've wanted to take classes at Blue Lapis as well--we should go together sometime! xo
@Megan - Ahh! Totally!! You have the acrobatic skills already. Speaking of which, I would also 100% join you for that sometime too, whenever you're in the mood.
