Lavanna Martin at TASTE this Saturday

One of my favorite local artists, Lavanna Martin, will have a show at Taste Wine Bar this weekend. You remember Lavanna. She's the blogger of I Stare at People, and also the covert coffee shop painter. She paints people's portraits in secret, you see, at places like Epoch, Spider House, Little City. And some of these will be on display (but not for sale) at Taste this weekend. Who knows - maybe you've been painted?

Lavanna does studio work too, and lucky things - those pieces will be available for sale. The show started out with a "Shattered" theme. "Women in sort of queasy interiors," Lavana told me. Now, with the coffee shop paintings, you'll just have to see all these people and interiors for yourselves.
